Job Summary
The Account Officer at Shahy Khazana Microfinance is responsible for managing accounts, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, producing financial statements and familiarity with QuickBooks and supporting the growth of microfinance services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Account Management:
- Handle account opening, maintenance, and closing processes.
- Ensure accuracy in account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Monitor account balances and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Client Service:
- Provide high-quality service to clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
- Assist in developing client relationships to increase retention and attract new customers.
- Facilitate client understanding of financial products and services.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all account activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with account management to prevent fraud or errors.
- Conduct periodic reviews of account activities for compliance and accuracy.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports related to account activities.
- Analyze account data to provide insights on client behavior and financial health.
- Operational Support:
- Support operational efficiency by identifying and suggesting improvements to account management processes.
Participate in team efforts to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years in accounting or finance, preferably in microfinance or banking and familiarity with Quick book
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in local languages and English.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of financial compliance and microfinance regulations.

- Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
